Couer d'Alene Vacation

Friday we got back from a week long vacation to North Idaho. We went to Coeur D'Alene. It is a town on a BIG lake in the mountains. (no not the great lakes big but big for the west) We had a blast. The city park was fantastic, it had a huge play set and two sandy beaches to play on. We spent every afternoon at the lake or river playing and building in the sand. We went fishing one morning and Lydia caught a little fish on her pole, she was excited but freaked out. She wanted to know where the mommy and daddy were and if we could take it home to be with Goldie (our Beta). We also went Kayaking on the lake one afternoon, but not very long. I was a little too nervous with a 3 year old and being 4.5 months pregnant. The trip was a great time and we are so glad we went. We are getting ready for Lydia's 3rd Birthday Party this Saturday. I can't believe my baby girl is 3 already. Where does the time go???

Happy 4th of July

Wow, I can't believe it is the 4th already. Where has the time gone? We have been able to enjoy a beautiful weekend with celebrations with friends and our little family. We have wonderful weather, in the 70's and low 80's, usually we are in the triple digits by now so it is areal treat.
Saturday morning we went to our 1st Boise 4th of July parade. Lydia had a blast. Candy, balloons and a stuffed animal. What more could an almost 3 year old want. We ended the day with our friends and neighbors at a BBQ. It was really nice but I of course over did it with the food and we had to leave early, before the fireworks.
Today we are just getting the house and us ready for our trip to Couer D Alene this week. We are excited to be exploring the Northern part of Idaho and all the beauty it holds. We won't make it to the fireworks tonight as they don't start until after my bedtime I think 10:15, maybe I will get to see DC's on the TV.
Here are some photos of Lydia and one of my at 16.5 weeks pregnant, I have had lot so questions if I am showing or not and I have to say I am starting to show, but not much yet.

Happy 4th!

Weekend Full of Milestones

Dad/Kris got home from playing in California on Friday and Saturday morning we went and picked up Lydia's Big Girl Bed. She took her last nap in her crib and we took it down. She was so excited to be in the BIG bed until night that is. She did great overall but was a little nervous, excited and didn't like that she could see the light from outside where her new bed was (it doesn't get dark here until 10:30) so she was awake until 10 but after she feel asleep she slept all night and woke up happy!

Pretending to Sleep

Look at that ceiling fan, three days later we did it!

Many of you know that we have been potty training for a while and I gave up due to #2 issues that we have had. Well this last week I took the diapers away except at nap and bed to help with the issue. Well today she pooped on the potty, I cried I was so excited after having so many issues with her and she was excited because she gets to go to preschool now!! She actually got up and said "lets go to preschool now mom" I said after summer is over.

We had a great weekend. I have my good or should I say okay days and then my yuck days but I will take that over having all bad days. We went swimming this morning after working in the yard all morning. Lydia helped me harvest my snap peas and I have to freeze them tomorrow. I got a lot for the three little rows I had.

Have a great week!

Gone Fishin'

Last week we took Lydia fishing for her 1st time. She had a lot of fun but was ready to leave when we left. We didn't get any fish but had a few bites. She said next time she wants to catch one.

This week was a blur. We had one hot day and we went swimming, she had fun and so did I. Other than that it was chilly and windy. Today we saw the sun again and had fun in the water, we had squirt guns, and a sprikler to run in. She is going to LOVE summer time. She is our outdoors kid. We also got and exciting addition to the back yard-a swing set. She LOVES LOVES LOVES it. We have only had one accident on it all week!

Update-Kris's dad is still in the hospital. His heart surgery was good and they say the recovery from that itself is on track. He is having some major set backs from other complications and we continue to pray that he recovers and gets home soon. I ask that you continue to pray for him and Linda (Kris's Mom).

Out of the mouth of Lydia-Tuesday night we were laying on the guest bed reading before bed and she laid back and pulled up her shirt and rubbed her belly and said "This baby is making me sick, I am going to have it in two weeks" I laughed so hard. Everyday she says something about the baby making her belly sick.

We hope you have a great weekend, we plan to do some cherry picking, swimming, painting Lydia's new Big Girl bed and relaxing.

Long Week

The week started off with a trip to Seattle to attend the funeral of my cousin Shaun, who died at the age of 48 after taking his own life. The services were beyond words. The church, which was a large Cathlotic church, was left to standing room only. It was amazing the outreach of people that were there. It was also wonderful to see most my extended Murphy family. I just hope the next time we get together it is something happy.

We were in Seattle for 4 days, Lydia and Ellie just loved each other. It was so fun to watch them play together, their imaginations are great. They look a lot alike but also very different. Dan and I both think they look like Mom. We had a nice visit with them but wish it was longer and under better circumstances.

This is the way she rode to and from Seattle, what ever works right!

Smile's!

Saturday I held a garage sale, it wasn't that great. I think I will just continue to donate our things to the Goodwill and get the tax write-off.
We got another phone call with bad news Saturday afternoon. Kris's Dad was taken by life flight to a hospital in Sandusky. It was feared he had a heart attack, which we still don't know if he did or didn't but the bad news is he is under going a triple bypass on Tuesday morning. So please say your prayers for him and his mom.

Today we spent 4 hours TRYING to install a ceiling fan in Lydia's room. Yeah trying is a great word, at least we didn't scream, cuss or throw things. We just got STUCK in the ceiling. Hopefully we will get the answer's to our questions tomorrow and be on our way to a new ceiling fan soon.

I finally got medicine from my Dr. for nausea and acid reflux and I am feeling better, not great but hopefully someday soon I will come out of this. I am just about 13 weeks.

Have a good week and we love you all!
