While Daddy's away the girls will play

So Kris left this morning for his golf tournament in Palm Dessert, CA for work so Lydia and I started to paint her room. We had the help of Rachel, Leah and Cora and we are almost done. I love it.
Here are some photos of our progress.

Update

Today is Day 4 and we are making it through. On Friday I never thought I would be able to say we have done it but we slept ALL night long last night from 7:45 to 7:00 am and she is sick. Oh yes sick, we woke up in the middle of the night Sunday with yet another cold. But she can now sleep through the night since she can breath through her mouth since there isn't a binky there.

So I am proud to say, we are doing it. All three of us! Kris and I both thinks she is talking a TON more since Saturday and I actually had to say, we need 5 mintues without talking, which is strange since she never had the binky in the day.

We are having Spring like sun but still in the 40's. We have flower bulbs coming up like crazy. All those beautiful tulip bulbs I dug up last May will be so pretty in about a month. I can't wait!

Have a great week. Oh the other good news is our computer is fixed and faster than ever so it only takes 2 minutes to post vs 30! I am so excited!

Dancing Queen

As many of you may know, we are frequent library visitors. Well this last week we missed story time because I worked so we went in the afternoon one day and she found the Kid Music Cd's and we just had to check a few out. The second me got home we put it in and this is what came about. She had no idea I had the camera on her until after I turned it off.
I also finally finished a sewing project, it is a spring/summer shirt to wear over a short sleeve shirt or I guess winter with a long sleeve.

Castle she got from the fairy

Strike a pose!

The shirt I made

As the song title goes...

"When your going through h#$l just keep on going" well that is what we are doing in the Kamann household for the next few days. Last evening the binky fairy came and took Lydia's Binkies away and left her a toy. It went well until bed time and then it let lose. She was up all night long and cried and cried. Now it is naptime and the poor little thing is bawling her eyes out. She just doesn't know how to fall asleep with out them and it breaks my heart. I am so ready to go buy her a new one. I know millions of kids do this every year but it doesn't make it any easier knowing you are the one causing so much sadness and tears.
Maybe the force be with us!
I will update as the progress goes on!

Mountain Getaway

We are back. The computer isn't working any faster but the good news is we have memory on order that is suppose to make it work faster-oh please!
We had a very nice weekend with great friends. We played in the snow, went sledding, built snow caves and tunnels, Lydia tubed, snow shoed, visited the ER and just had a great time! Oh yeah, it was me in the ER and I am good to go now!
This week will be spent, at Dr's, at work and playing catch up at my poor neglected house.
Here are some photos.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY

We will be packing up the car and heading to McCall this weekend for our annual snow weekend with our close friends, the Webster's, The Byrd's and the Cabase's. We are excited to go build snow forts, sled and snowshoe and just hand out and relax. Lydia and Ava will play non-stop for three days so that will be great.
I just wanted to tell eveyone Happy Valentine's Day. We love you and thank you for blessing our lives. (I didn't get cards out this year)
I will post pictures of our wekeend fun when we get back. For those in Ohio or the Mid-West-stay warm and enjoy the snow. We are actually jealous, we would love a good snow storm to play in.

My little get away to Key West

Ocean from our walk one day

The Bunker's used for missile's

Pelican's flying and feeding

Maddie's 1st taste of ice cream, she loved it

Oh, I had a great time! It was a small miracle, all three of my flights were on time on my way there and the last one was even a little early. It was 12 hours of travel but it went by really quick. The way home was smooth sailing as well, I just didn't have my bag when I landed. It wanted to stay in Key West, but arrived in the middle of the night at our doorstep.

When I landed, Shelly picked me up. Maddie was at home with Grandma so we headed out to Duval St. I had no idea Key West was a party town but I have to say I have seen it all now. We went to a famous bar known for Hemmingway and where he drank himself drunk every night, "The Garden of Eden"-a clothing optional bar and yes there were some (not many) clothes missing here. There were a lot of bars, shops and places to eat.
Saturday Shelly and Maddie took me out to see Key West. It was so nice-80 and sunny. We had a yummy lunch with Key Lime Pie and walked around, Ernest Hemmingways home, and the old town of Key West.
Sunday we took a trolley tour around town (thanks Shelly) it was really interesting. I learned a lot about the island, and I think I saw most of it also. We ate lunch on the beach and had yummy key lime ice cream.
Monday I got to experience what rain on a tin roof sounds like. It poured all morning but broke long enough for us to head North on highway 1 to see some of the Florida Keys and the beautiful scenery that goes along with it.
We also went to the sight were the Navy held the Missile to attack Cuba during the "Cuban Missile Crisis" It was neat to see. We ended the day with a yummy dinner out and yummy ice cream. Come to think of it not a day went by we didn't eat dessert.
I had a great time. Maddie is a very cute little baby she knows sign language which just amazes me (we might try to teach our next one this) Shelly is a great mommy. Jackson is in Cuba for the Navy, once again I didn't get to see him. Maybe in Italy!
It was so fun to come home. Lydia was at the airport with Kris and once she saw me she was yelling Mommy Mommy and gave me the BIGGEST hug and kisses I have ever gotting.
Kris had a good time with Lydia. He milked his way to all our friends houses for dinner every night and had multiple play dates to fill his days. What a great husband to let me go!
I will post photos once I can get them downloaded-having computer issues-whats new!
